Wharton Public Library

We have approximately 22,000 books, 50 magazine and newspaper titles, 3,000 audio materials, and 1,200 DVDs. Through our membership in the Morris Automated Information Network (M.A.I.N), library users have access to thousands more materials.

We also have twelve computers for public use (including 2 children's computers), free wireless access and various research databases through our M.A.I.N. membership and the NJ State Library.

All residents of the Borough of Wharton are entitled to a free library card at the Wharton Public Library.

Borough of Wharton

Wharton is a community of approximately 6,500 residents in the highlands of Morris County. Wharton is located between Routes 15, 46 and 80, stretching south from the main entrance of Picatinny Arsenal, a major army research and development center, to Route 46 abounded on the west by Roxbury Township and the east by Dover and Rockaway Township. The Borough is approximately 2.2 square miles.
