Emergency Alert Program - Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up for our Emergency Alert Program. This system enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more. You pick where, you pick how.
WHAT TO DO WHEN CALLING 9-1-1
It is very important that all children be made familiar with what to do in the event of an emergency and that help is available by dialing 9-1-1.
WHEN CALLING 9-1-1 REMAIN CALM AND SPEAK CLEARLY.
Provide the 9-1-1 telecommunicator with the following information: Exactly what the problem is - the phone number you are calling from - your address and name.
STAY ON THE TELEPHONE. ANSWER THE TELECOMMUNICATOR'S QUESTIONS AND FOLLOW ANY INSTRUCTIONS YOU MAY BE GIVEN.
